Hatha
All forms of yoga are Hatha-based, focusing on postures, breath, meditation and concentration. Hatha yoga builds strength and flexibility, linking mind and body.
Vinyasa
A dynamic and rigorous flow sequence from one posture to the next, linked by sun salutations and energetic breathing. This style builds endurance, flexibility and is the gateway for advanced asanas and deep relaxation. Familiarity with yoga is helpful.
Hatha Flow
Combines traditional Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga with postures flowing gracefully from one into the next. May not be as rigorous as Vinyasa classes, but dynamic just the same.
Adi-Yoga
Adi-Yoga is a comprehensive system of Hatha Yoga, taught in depth during an immersion course called a “gate.” The weekly group practice is an instructor led session using material from the corresponding gate. Students are welcome to drop-in on the Gate 1 practice sessions, but the material will not be taught in detail during this time. The focus will be on a deep experience of the practice.
