FALL & THE FIVE SENSES
Yogins are very aware that the five senses – smell, taste, sight, touch and sound - are our gateways to the world. Each sense is particularly connected with one of the five elements of Yogic cosmology – earth, water, fire, wind and space - respectively. By engaging with our senses we enhance our connection with the elements both in our internal experience, as well as externally as the building blocks of the material world. Five Element Theory is foundational to Ayurveda, Hatha Yoga and Classical Tantra.

This fall, we are very pleased to offer workshops and courses to awaken all five of your sense gates. Explore sound through Nada Yoga w/ Shanti Shivani or by studying Sanskrit w/ Christopher Wallis. Expand your experience of touch in Yoga & Ayurveda w/ Hrimati or Vata Management for Fall w/ Sumanasa. Satisfy sight in a Newari Painting Course w/ Dinesh Charan. Learn to incorporate the six tastes in Intro to Ayurveda w/ Hrimati. Delight in smell in Ayurveda & Sacred Scents w/ David Crow.

In addition, the fall brings The Essence of Yoga: Foundation Course, some seminal Trika Institute workshops w/ Dharmanidhi, an expanded selection of Ayurveda courses and more. Please contact the studio to register, or with any questions about our new fall schedule. We hope to see you here soon!

View Sean's upcoming yoga schedule and full bio.

Nicholas Evertz
Nicholas received his 500-hour teacher training program in Interdisciplinary Yoga from the Nosara Yoga Institute in Costa Rica. Nicholas' yoga is inspired by the flow of an enlivening vinyasa linked with a playful attitude.
