You may have noticed new water dispensers at YM this week. As part of our green studio initiative we’ve eliminated bottled water. We no longer felt comfortable supporting an industry that is getting rich off of our shared world resource of fresh drinking water. Additionally, the bottled water companies are major contributors to the proliferation of plastic waste, and the use of fossil fuels for shipping and delivery. Did you know that while plastic bottles of water are on their way here from Fiji by freight ships, Calistoga water is on its way to Japan? Crazy, huh?
So please enjoy local water triple filtered on-site before and after your next class.
