July 18 – 28, 2010Kailash Akhara - Phu Ruea, Loei, Thailand
w/Dharmanidhi Sarasvati
Enjoy 10 days of yoga, organic Thai cuisine, meditation, relaxing in nature, swimming in mountain lakes and waterfalls, and much more. Join us for a rejuvenative yoga adventure in the lush mountains of northern Thailand, home to “Kailash Akhara” – Yoga Mandala’s full-time Yoga retreat center.
If you ever wanted time to just enjoy your Yoga practice, be with yourself and unwind without trying to fit it all in – this retreat is ideal. You can participate as much or as little as you like. There will be two Yoga practice sessions per day. Each session will involve asana, pranayama, bandhas, mudras, chanting and meditation. You will be led through a deeply relaxing practice of Yoga Nidra each day after lunch as well. Also offered will be optional classes in Tantrik astrology, Ayurvedic diet and lifestyle and Thai classical dancing. For those who want to delve more deeply into themselves and their path, there will be optional meditation classes and private Tantrik astrology readings available as well.
Kailash Akhara sprawls over 40 acres with more than 200 fruit trees, 100s of teak trees, ponds, a dormitory capable of housing 60 people, dining hall, bathing house, and Asia’s largest Yoga training hall and temple – The Mahasiddha Mahabodhi temple (Great Awakening Temple of the Yoga Adepts). The temple has a 4,575 square foot teak practice floor surrounded by a 2,336 square foot walking meditation deck, 30-foot ceilings and is open on three sides giving spectacular mountain and forest views.
Children and families are welcome. Excellent nannies are on staff to give parents ample free time while your child plays on the grounds. Please inquire about details and special rates for children.
Because Yoga Mandala owns Kailash Akhara retreat center and because the U.S. dollar is so strong in Thailand, we are able to host this retreat in paradise at a rate even more affordable than many comparable retreats in California.
We are sure you’ll come away refreshed, renewed and deeper into your yoga practice and self-realization. We invite you to join the Yoga Mandala community for a true “Yoga Adventure in Thailand”.
